Being a townie the current rain would be a nuisance, especially if it continues through the weekend.
But to dairy farmers and some arable farmers this rain is like "Pennys from Heaven". Literally the rain helps grows grass, reduce the need for irrigation, raises water levels and generally is good for everyone - as long as it stops by Saturday.
